DIY Ketchup

  • 6 oz low sodium tomato paste

  • 4 Tbs apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 Tbs Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup water - may vary based on your desired consistency

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except water into the pan and cook at medium heat until vinegar begins to simmer and evaporate.

  2. Stir continuously to prevent burning. Add 1/4 of the water slowly into the pan and continue to stir. Continue to add water until you've reached your desired consistency.

  3. Store in the fridge and use up to one month after making.
